Where did the phrase "Taco Tuesday" originate from?? I'm not sure but around this house it has helped me to figure out what to make for dinner on Tuesdays. The guys like them, they are easy enough to make and I can make different types, although chicken is our favorite.
Now if I can only figure out what is for dinner on Wednesday or Thursday, or Friday, etc, etc... I really do like to cook but I suppose I would enjoy it even more if the male folk in my house would be more open to try new things. I'm definitely living in a meat and potatoes house and let's not forget the Dr., Dr. P that is.
I love cookbooks and am hoping to find some new ideas of things to try this year. I've already put everyone on notice that this will be the year for change, trying new things and broadening the menu. We'll see how that goes. I did just get the cookbook from the Pioneer Woman, found here http://thepioneerwoman.com/ . Seems like the guys kind of cooking. Until then, let me know if you have any for sure recipes that the 9yr old will eat as well as the fifty something yr old :) But for now, the making of the taco tuesday..

That's exactly what we had last night and the girls prepared everything but the fried taco shells. Steph was grossing out on having to take the innerds out of the whole chicken to boil it, hahaha and Lauren did the rest. She was leary about frying the shells so that was the least I could do. She and Jason did dishes,I loved our Taco Tuesday. Tonight is going to be Chicken tortilla soup and they are going to make that too.
